TAKE FLIGHT JOURNAL PAGES tutorial by Lee-Anne

Hello, everyone...it's Lee-Anne here with a journal page tutorial for you.

  • gesso your journal pages and allow to dry
  • add several shades of acrylic paints and dry

  • cut up some drywall tape and add to pages

  • add glass bead gel through the ARTplorations Feathers & Arrows stencil and allow to dry

  • add some watered down gesso with a paint brush

  • add more texture with the ARTplorations Leaf Bliss stencil and archival inks

  • add drops and splatters of ink sprays

  • oops...got so involved in the final steps forgot to take pictures but here's how it was done:

  • using more acrylic paint, add the butterfly with the ARTplorations Flutterby stencil and add some bits of the same orange paint throughout the pages
  • add definition to the butterfly with a marker and a watercolor pencil, smudging around the outside of the butterfly with a small damp paintbrush
  • add the sentiment from the STAMPlorations Hope Blooms stamp set
  • add some more white randomly across the pages with white paint markers

Thanks for joining me today...I really hope I inspired you to take some time to play
