PAWPRINTS CANVAS tutorial by Tanja

today, I have a very special step-by-step tutorial for you. I made this canvas for my son, so that his beloved cat Finnja can be with him every night again:

• draw circles on a canvas board using oil pastels in light pink and light grey - smear the lines with your fingers
• add color with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (S.W.A.K.) and Dylusions Ink Spray (White Linen)

• add Versamark to the corners and heat-emboss with silver embossing powder

• add texture by stamping "LOVE" from STAMPlorations Trendy Butterflies, a border from STAMPlorations Artsy Border Maker, small flowers from STAMPlorations Vignette: Eclectic Florals and the dots from STAMPlorations Mixed Media Grunge with Prima Marketing Resist Chalk Edger (Vintage Pink) - use first, second and third generation stamping

• add little dots with a light pink pearl maker and tap the canvas from behind to make them round and even

• cut out the sentiment from Grungepaper while the canvas is drying
• cover the Grungepaper with Gesso and color the letters with Distress Paint (Spun Sugar, Picked Raspeberry) in order to achieve an ombre finish

• create a paper cluster using patterned paper from the Pebbles Special Delivery Girl 6x6 paper pad

• adhere the cluster and the sentiment to the canvas board using liquid glue

• add the photo with foam tape over silver thread
• apply Distress Ink (Shaded Lilac) through some butterflies of the new large ARTplorations Flutters & Splatters stencil as a finishing touch
