- cover a piece of 12''x12'' watercolor paper with gesso
- apply Dylusions Ink Spray (Vibrant Turquoise, Calypso Teal, London Blue) with the help of regular wrapping film
- while the background is drying, create a paper cluster using patterned paper from the Dear Lizzy Daydreamer 12x12 paper pad and use a stapler to hold everything in place in just the way that you arranged it
- the staple won't be visible after adding the picture - so don't worry about that
- distress the edges of the papers
- glue the base from patterned paper from the same paper pad onto the background
- dye Texture Paste with Dylusions Ink Spray (Bubblegum Pink) - this got far too much of a neon look for my taste and that is why I added gesso to the mix to tone it down into a more pastel color
- apply this colored texture paste throught the ARTplorations Hearts all over stenciland the Old Rose Prints stencil
- stamp large and small flowers from the STAMPlorations Eclectic Florals set with Memento Luxe (Rose Bud) and add some texture by stamping the tiny dot pattern from the STAMPlorations Mixed Media Grunge set
- add the paper cluster over some pink thread to the base and stamp the arrows from the STAMPlorations Mixed Media Grunge set to lead the eye to the focal picture
- before adhering the picture to the paper cluster add some ink splatters using Radiant Rain Mist (Pewter)
- I always do that before I add my picture because I want to avoid having ink splatters on it
- add the picture on a mat from the same patterned paper pad and cut out the title from sturdy white cardstock, color it with the above mentioned ink and heat-emboss it with clear embossing powder for extra dimension and shine
Have a colorful day.
