ART PAGE tutorial by Irit

Hello, my dear crafty friends! Irit here with my new mixed media art page tutorial and this time I made is in a totally different style. It's my first time to use this technique and I hope you like the final result as much as I like it. So let's go!

Step 1: Paint the thick kraft cardstock with a mix of DecoArt Mixed Media line acrylic fluid paints. Make some rectangles and some splashes over the page and let it dry.

Step 2: Use ARTplorations Bold Florals stencil with DecoArt Gel medium and add the flowers randomly on 2/3 of the page. The gel medium with be clear after it's dry; for now you can see the flowers as mute white ones.

Step 3: Paint the whole page over the gel medium flowers with black acrylic paint and wipe the wet paint from the flowers as shown.

Step 4: Use white fluid acrylic paint and STAMPlorations rectangle stamp from Frames and Flowers set to stamp all random rectangles over the dry black painted page. It shouldn't be too pretty - just stamp and let it dry.

Step 5: Use ARTplorations Bubbles stencil to add white acrylic circles randomly over the page as shown.

Step 6: Add some white mist over the page and make a title rectangle with 3 stickers covered with a bit of white paint like a chalkboard. Look how this title is perfect for this page? I didn't know what will be a result of my art work and I think that the possibilities are really endless.

  1. Very creative idea to paint the black as this really shows up the stencil flower and colour work underneath...will be filing that one away. Bold and striking project, thank you for the inspiration x
